GPS Marine has purchased a further barge to support operations in the river Thames, Barge 2801. The new barge is a 1999 built one hatch one hold barge of 2830 tons cargo deadweight and is classed until 2020. When the barge enters service in November or early December she will be by far the largest barge operating on the Thames and will provide a unique opportunity for clients to move close to 150 tipper loads of material in a single barge with corresponding commercial and environmental benefits.
