- GPS Marine Contractors Ltd was nominated for a prestigious “Green Apple Award” for its work on the Northern Line Extension Project and on 12 November, the awards ceremony was held at the Houses of Parliament at which the company won a “Green Champion” award. To receive the award, the directors of the company were accompanied by representatives of the main contractor, Ferrovial Laing O’Rourke JV and the employer, London Underground. GPS Marine Contractors Ltd has become a Green World Ambassador 2019 to further the aims of the Green World Organisation as well as the Company’s environmental aspirations and its aims to promote sustainability in the construction sector.
