Tow of HMS President

On the 5th Feb 2016 GPS Marine completed the successful tow of HMS President with GPS Anglia, GPS Iberia & GPS India. The tow was from London’s Embankment. The tow has to be terminated at Erith due to high winds, once the weather conditions improved she continued her journey to Chatham Docks, Kent.

Woolverstone Marina

GPS Marine has been contracted to dredge 20,000m3 from Woolverestone Marina, Ipswich and dispose of the material at various locations on the River Orwell. Our multipurpose vessel ‘GPS Battler’ split hopper barge ‘GPS Paul’ and dipper dredger ‘Arnaud Regis’ have been dispatched to carry out the project.

GPS Avenger Tows Newest Barge of GPS Marine Fleet

The GPS Avenger yesterday (22/10/2015) departed Holland, destination Chatham, with two GPS Marine barges in tow. The two barges in tow were Barge 1905 (1900 Tonne Barge), the latest barge to join GPS Marine’s comprehensive fleet and Barge KG19 (Boxhold Barge), which underwent an extensive refit in Rotterdam. Backhoe Dredging Works Continue

GPS Marine’s Dredging Department has been busy undertaking backhoe dredging operations at Newhaven Harbour. The Arnaud Regis (purpose built Backhoe Dredging Pontoon) assisted by GPS Marine’s Shoalbuster ‘GPS Avenger’ and Split Hopper Barges ‘John’ & ‘Paul’ is dredging up to 14,000mᶟ of silt in Newhaven Harbour to develop a Windfarm Support Port. GPS Battler in the West India Dock

Since successfully completing the Tattershall Castle tow from Alexandra Dock to Tilbury Dock, the GPS Battler recovered a silt curtain from the West India Dock, London. The silt curtain was loaded onto the GPS Battler’s deck before locking out and loading it onto the charterers barge.

Tattershall Castle Returns to London

On completion of the refit of the Tattershall Castle in Hull; the GPS Marine multicat “GPS Battler” picked up the vessel in Alexandra Dock and towed her to Tilbury Dock where she arrived on Wednesday 8th April. GPS Avenger Undertaking Ploughing Operations

GPS Marine’s 2709 Shoalbuster (GPS Avenger) has been undertaking ploughing operations in Belgium. Ploughing works have been carried out in a number of places in Belgium, including Zeebrugge, Ostend and Antwerp. Picture shows GPS Avenger ploughing in Zeebrugge.
